SXSW 2016: Vote for Golden Frog’s Panels

SXSW 2016 Panels Privacy and Encryption

Golden Frog submitted 2 panels to the SXSW PanelPicker this year, and we really want to be selected to present!

The first panel is a group presentation with our friends from the Center for Democracy and Technology (CDT) and SpiderOak titled “Online Privacy and the Price of Free.”  We’ll be talking about how secure you really are online, and what goes on behind the marketing messages of free VPN providers.

The second panel is a solo presentation by Golden Frog’s president, Sunday Yokubaitis, and is titled “No Encryption Backdoors, Please. Myths Debunked.” This panel presents our arguments against backdoor encryption and emphasizes how important encryption is in protecting consumer privacy online.

For those who don’t know, SXSW is an annual conference and festival that takes place in Austin, Texas each March. The Interactive portion of the conference focuses on technology and creativity, and includes five days of panels and other events. Golden Frog hosted a panel and party at SXSW last year – you can read all about it here.

Voting closes on Friday, September 4.
